“Another Revolution that Started in 1984”

The History of Apple Computer, Leopard, and Spaces.

by Wil Baden

The Macintosh computer, which was introduced and released in January 1984, has changed how people use computers. It also changed publishing, graphic design, education, and much more. Now Apple has done it again with an effort that began in 1997 with the return of Steve Jobs, and finished a year ago with the introduction of Operating System Leopard. Apple has again changed the best way to operate a Mac.

Wil Baden, a professional programmer, consultant and advisor for many companies and organizations, has spoken not only in the U.S., but also in China and in Germany. In 1990 Wil Baden became moderator of the Orange Apple Computer Club (OACC). His "Open-Firmware compiler" was adopted by Apple and was used in every Mac from 1995 until the Intel Machines.

Door Prizes. Three door prizes will be given to lucky winners in the audience (must be Mac Club members and present).
