Beauty and genius.... our three new iMac G5’s
Third Floor, Southeast corner

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
As you may already know, we now have three dazzling new iMac G5 computers online and available for use in the Mac Learning Center.
They are state-of-the-art Apple Computer Inc. products and loaded with the updated programs and software we Mac users are accustomed to having for efficient and advanced computer operation. All remarkably packaged inside a square frame that is the computer and the monitor... and amazingly no thicker than 2 inches.
I will mention just a few of the outstanding features to look for on your next visit to the Learning Center... when you sit down to operate one of these new computers. Of course, the main standout feature is the big 20” monitor, allowing for an expansive display of your work. This certainly makes for less scrolling and handles facing-page spreads with ease.
And where do you insert a CD in this elegant design? You turn the disc vertical, instead of the usual horizontal, and slip it into the ingeniously placed slot on the upper right side of the frame.
In the sound department, the stereo speakers can be heard but not seen... they are located at the bottom of the frame. Their volume can be controlled, as before, using the three dedicated keys on the extended keyboard.
The standard 56K modem is also neatly tucked in there, along with the latest versions of OS X (Panther), iLife’05, AppleWorks, iWork, and much more.
The inherent speed of these iMac G5’s means you can do more in less time... including running such a program as Adobe Photoshop twice as fast as the iMac G4 could do it.
And, hard to believe, there are three fans inside this slim box, efficiently at work keeping everything cool enough to avoid physical meltdown.
And should you want to hang this computer on the wall, it is designed to allow for that option as well.
Beauty and genius indeed... come into the Macintosh Computer Learning Center and take a look.
Thank you, once again, Steve LaFortune, Recreation Department, Golden Rain Foundation and all the powers that be that support this exceptional Leisure World community facility... our Mac Computer Learning Center.
