There is no doubt about the popularity of "Google, " the truly user friendly search engine. It has an incredible database and claims billions of web pages are searched when you make an entry and then click on the button "Google Search. "
However, the other day I suddenly opened my eyes to find other excellent online search opportunities that are offered when you visit the Google home page. Perhaps you too have overlooked these features and this info may cause you to look again.
If you will notice, by default the Web tab is always selected. But, along that same line you will see 4 other tabs as well.
Select Image... and then type in an entry to search for a particular photograph or image. Whatever the subject, you will be shown sample photos, and other miscellaneous graphics of all the related images offered for your use.
Select Groups... and then type in an entry to search for an extensive listing of all special interest groups, related to any topic, around the world.
Select Directory... and then type in an entry to search for any topic organized in this Mother of all Directories.
Select News... and then type in an entry to search for any news topic of your interest. This could keep you occupied for hours at a time.
The clean, uncluttered appearance of the Google home page, together with its practical list of useful tabs, plus the speed of the search, certainly makes Google the preferred search engine.
